As I visited the National Museum of Natural History would
introduce me to unexpectedly enjoyable and even memorable experience a display
which responded to my touch by heat.
I put both palms on the dark surface and, in almost an
instant, the handprints began to burn with fiery fiery shades of a tapestry for
reds and oranges. It was like watching heat convert into art my art. This
glowing image was not merely a recording of my own temperature; it could be a
short, beautiful reminder of my presence at that moment. What I captured in
this photograph was beyond that it was a memory lit with curiosity and wonder.
This type of display materials involving the thermochromic
ones that changes in temperatures will react to them. Science and sensory
experience- connecting with knowledge and play. That learning is not only by
reading or listening but sometimes touching or feeling it with hands connected
with nature creatively.
Beneath the awe-inspiring grandeur of exhibits of Earth and
its biodiversity, such a small personal moment could be quite so powerful.
So, if you're ever at the National Museum of Natural
History, just spend a moment on that panel with your palms. Make your mark upon
science. And like me, you'll leave glowing.
